Benzol Recovery
Wash Oil Still is a part of process equipment to recover benzole from the coke oven gas of the coke oven plants chemical part.
The purpose of the Wash Oil Still is stripped benzole from the saturated wash oil (viscosity approx. 2 – 4°E) and recovers the absorption ability of the wash oil. The Wash Oil Still is an equipment of the column type equipped with special bridge trays.
From the bottom part of the Still the wash oil with residual benzole concentration approx. 0.3% wt. is discharged and return back to the process and from the top part of the Still the mixture of water and benzole vapours are released.
To achieve maximal value of the stripped benzole with minimal moisture and naphthalene content is the main goal of the process.
Released mixture of water and benzole vapours is condensed in downstream benzole coolers to the temperature about 35°C depending on the cooling water parameters.
The stripped benzole at the outlet contains about 95% wt. of distillation fraction up 180°C.
